The impacts of climate change on the agriculture sector

June 28th, 2010

The impacts of climate change on the agriculture sector
There are so many states and country that are feeling the impacts of climate change on the agriculture sector. And the heat hasn’t even really reached the temperature that is expected. Scientist have been doing many studies to uncover just how many area’s for farming will be affected and the studies have proven that nothing good will come of it. These studies show the impacts of climate change on the agriculture sector all across the world will be greatly reduced to nearly nothing. As the earth heats up the water begins to disappear into thin air. The lack of water means that the areas will not be irrigated and no crops will be able to grow. These studies have been done throughout various countries and states and they all state the same thing - the world would soon suffer from hunger. Of course there will be some area’s that are not going to experience complete drought like other area’s but it will only be a matter of time before they do. We already see that dry areas across the world are becoming drier, rainfall doesn’t come as often as it used too, and the soil is becoming unmanageable. Things are not looking to good for the earth and the small amount that we are already experience is nothing compared to what is in store or us all. Of course we might not be alive to see these devastating events thank goodness, but our children might and their children will. I don’t’ know about you but this isn’t something that I want to think of for my family even if I am not around to see it. So what can we do about it, how can we change the climate back to the way that it once was? Unfortunately this is impossible, the worked is doomed to this future, but all that we can do is play our part to reduce the rate at which it happens. The impacts of climate change on the agriculture sector will also be reduced if we take the time to educate ourselves with the things that are in our control, which would be to recycle, purchase recycled products, car pool to work or play, and help to bring back our forests through reforestation organizations. There is great deal of things that you can do, but if we all don’t begin putting effort into this than we will only be adding to the problem and be facing much more problems that we in our lifetime will feel the effects of dramatically.
